Alisson Ramses Becker was born on 2nd October 1992. He is commonly known as Alisson Becker or simply Alisson. He's a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Liverpool and the Brazil national team.

Widely regarded as the best goalkeeper in the world, Alisson is known for his excellent positioning, distribution, and prowess in one-on-one situations.

Alisson Becker Early Career and International

Alisson joined International's academy in 2002 at the age of 10 and progressed through the youth system before making his senior debut in 2013. During his four years with International, he helped the team win the Campeonato Gauche title each season. Alisson made over 100 appearances for the club before moving to Italian side Roma in 2016 for a fee of €7.5 million.

After joining Roma, Alisson initially served as a backup goalkeeper. However, with the departure of Wojciech Szczęsny in 2017, he became Roma's first-choice goalkeeper. Alisson was praised for his performances in the 2017–18 season, especially in the UEFA Champions League, where Roma reached the semi-finals. That season, he kept 22 clean sheets, including 17 in Serie A, and was named Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year.

Alisson Becker's personal Life

Alisson comes from a footballing family—his older brother Muriel is also a goalkeeper. Of German descent, Alisson holds a German passport and speaks multiple languages, including Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, and English. He is married to Natália Loewe, a Brazilian doctor, and the couple has three children.

Alisson is a devout Pentecostal Christian and has been a goodwill ambassador for the World Health Organization, promoting mental health care. In 2021, his father tragically drowned, a loss that deeply affected him.

Alisson Becker 's father tragedy

On February 24th, 2021, Alisson Becker's father tragically died after drowning in a lake in Brazil. Media in Brazil reported that Jose Agostinho Becker, 57, drowned in a lake near his holiday home in the city of Lavras do Sul.Jose was swimming at a dam on his property on Wednesday February 24th 2021 afternoon when the accident happened.

The accident occurred at around 5pm on Wednesday. No foul play was suspected. Local police confirmed a man's body was found on Wednesday night. Alisson Becker's father was laid to rest in a small private ceremony with 20 friends and family in his home city in Brazil but unfortunately Alisson was unable to attend due to coronavirus restrictions.

Alisson's remarkable achievements, both at club and international levels, combined with his personal values and humility, have solidified his legacy as a football icon.
