Media in Brazil reported that Jose Agostinho Becker, 57, drowned in a lake near his holiday home in the city of Lavras do Sul.Jose was swimming at a dam on his property on Wednesday February 24th 2021 afternoon when the accident happened.

The accident occurred at around 5pm on Wednesday. No foul play was suspected. Local police confirmed a man's body was found on Wednesday night. Alisson Becker's father was laid to rest in a small private ceremony with 20 friends and family in his home city in Brazil but unfortunately Alisson was unable to attend due to coronavirus restrictions.
