Sarıkaya was born to Seyhan Umran and Mustafa Sarıkaya. She spent her early years in Antalya until her parents separated when she was seven. Following her father’s remarriage, she moved to Istanbul with her mother. At the age of fifteen, Sarıkaya participated in the European Youth Beauty Competition in Czechia, where she won a special award from the jury. After leaving Adanalı, Sarıkaya joined the cast of Lale Devri, a series produced by Şükrü Avşar. In 2013, Sarıkaya starred in the film Behzat Ç. Ankara Yanıyor, adapted from the popular TV series Behzat Ç. Bir Ankara Polisiyesi. Her portrayal of Mira, a character based on Marissa Cooper, was widely praised.

In 2019, Sarıkaya made her stage debut in the musical Alice Müzikali, an adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Alice returned to the stage in February 2022.
Although Sarıkaya was cast to play the lead role in the biographical film Bergen, detailing the life of singer Belgin Sarılmışer, she left the project due to difficulties caused by the pandemic and other factors. In 2021, she became the first-ever Turkish brand ambassador for Bulgari, marking another milestone in her career.
