Claudia Jessie, a talented British actress, was born on October 30 1989  in Moseley, Birmingham, located in the West Midlands. While she spent some of her childhood in London, she later decided to settle back in her hometown when she was in her early twenties after finding her agent.


One of her notable roles was in the third series of the BBC One police procedural show, WPC 56 (2015), where she portrayed WPC Annie Taylor. She is also recognized for her performance as Eloise, the fifth child of the Bridgerton family, in the Netflix period drama "Bridgerton" (2020–present). Furthermore, Claudia has made appearances in series like Line of Duty (2017), the Dave sitcom Porters (2017–2019), and the ITV miniseries Vanity Fair (2018).


Early Life


Claudia Jessie's journey in the world of acting began with a humble upbringing. She was born in Moseley and spent part of her childhood living on a canal boat. Life wasn't always easy as her family faced financial difficulties, with experiences like bailiffs knocking on the door. Her parents split up, and her father was not a part of her life. Claudia's single mother, Dawn, worked hard cleaning houses to support Claudia and her brother.


Despite the financial challenges, Claudia's mother made it possible for her to pursue her passion for ballet by working to afford her ballet lessons at the Challis School of Dance. Claudia's talent was discovered by student director Hannah Phillips, who cast her in various amateur productions. She received part-time training at the Susi Earnshaw Theatre School and also spent a year studying with the Birmingham Library Theatre Company before signing with an agent in 2012.

Claudia Jessie's professional acting journey began in 2012 when she appeared in a short film titled "Rosie." This was followed by roles in popular soap operas like "Doctors" and "Casualty." She even appeared in an episode of "House of Anubis" and returned to portray Sophie Danae in the television film "Touchstone of Ra."


Between 2014 and 2016, Claudia starred in the BAFTA-winning CBBC Online web series called "Dixi," where she played the character Shari. In 2017, Claudia Jessie's career soared as she starred as DC Jodie Taylor in the fourth series of "Line of Duty" on BBC One and played Lucy in the Dave sitcom "Porters," a role she later returned to for its second series. The following year, she portrayed Amelia Sedley in the ITV miniseries adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray's "Vanity Fair." Her versatility as an actress also led to a guest appearance in the popular show "Doctor Who" in the episode titled "Kerblam!" in 2018.


Her breakthrough role came in 2020 when Claudia started playing Eloise, the fifth child in the Bridgerton family, in the Netflix period drama "Bridgerton." This series, based on Julia Quinn's Regency romance novels, catapulted her to even greater fame. In addition, she appeared in "Bali 2002," an Australian drama about the 2002 Bali bombings, where she portrayed real-life survivor Polly Miller. Personal Life and Beliefs


Claudia Jessie's personal life is marked by her resilience and dedication. She grew up on a canal barge, initially spent her early years in London, and began homeschooling at the age of 14. Financial difficulties, including visits from bailiffs, were part of her family's struggles.


Claudia has been in a loving relationship with Joseph, an engineer, since 2015. They first crossed paths at a Birmingham bar and have maintained a strong bond despite not being married. The couple's connection is akin to that of a committed couple.
