Jack Doherty, a popular YouTuber and Kick streamer, crashed his 2024 McLaren 570S in the Miami area on Saturday morning while live streaming. The accident occurred during a rainstorm, with Doherty distracted by his phone at the time. The moment of impact was captured live on his stream as he lost control of the vehicle, hydroplaned across the right lane, and collided with a security barrier.

A clip of the livestream, which quickly circulated online, shows Doherty glancing down at his phone just before the crash. Though the footage clearly indicates distracted driving, experts could have reached the same conclusion through a forensic examination of his phone, even without the video.

After the incident, Doherty’s Kick account was swiftly taken down. The platform’s 13th guideline under "Lawfulness" requires streamers to obey local laws, prioritize safety, and avoid dangerous activities. According to Sportskeeda, Doherty had an audience of 185,000 viewers during the crash. When asked about the ban, Kick told Road & Track, "Kick does not condone illegal activity, which is why we swiftly took action and banned the creator from the platform."

Doherty had purchased the McLaren in late 2023 for $202,850.10. Since then, he had customized the car with a dayglo paintball gun splatter design and added a custom exhaust system. Unfortunately, the car is now totaled.

After the crash, Doherty filmed his cameraman, Michael, who appeared dazed and was bleeding from his right temple. Concerned, Doherty asked if Michael was okay. Both were later taken to the hospital, where Michael received stitches for his injuries.

This is not the first time Jack Doherty has made headlines for going against the law. In a previous incident, Doherty was assaulted by fellow streamer Izi Prime during a collaborative stream.
