Born on January 17, 1997, in Perth, Scotland, Charithra Chandran hails from a family of medical professionals. Her heritage is deeply rooted in her Tamil Indian roots, which have played a significant role in shaping her identity and artistic sensibilities.


At a young age, her parents separated, and Charithra embarked on a journey to India with her father, where she spent valuable years with her grandparents in Tamil Nadu. The rich cultural experiences during this time would later influence her work as an actress.


Upon returning to the UK at the age of four, Charithra continued her education in Liverpool. She later attended Moreton Hall Preparatory School in Shropshire from ages six to eleven before finally settling in Oxford with her mother during her teenage years, while her father resided in Wales.

In 2021, Charithra Chandran made her mark in the entertainment industry when she joined the main cast of the spy thriller series "Alex Rider," portraying the character of Sabina Pleasance in its second series on IMDb TV. Her performance in the show garnered critical acclaim and solidified her presence in the world of television.


Following her success in "Alex Rider," Charithra auditioned and landed a role as Edwina in the second series of "Bridgerton," the wildly popular Netflix period drama produced by Shondaland. Starring alongside Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley, she continued to impress audiences with her talent and versatility in the world of historical romance.
