The actress began her revelation with a poignant trigger warning: "BTS 2023. What happens behind closed doors? Nobody's daughter or son deserves this. My father died, and my mum out of the picture, an easy target, I guess."

According to the narrative, Barker encountered a man shortly after her father's demise in January 2023. What initially seemed like a supportive gesture, him staying behind to assist her after a gathering, quickly devolved into a volatile situation.

The emotional and physical abuse she endured allegedly involved the complicity of the abuser's family, creating a harrowing cycle of trauma. "I know I joke a lot, but this was not funny and ultimately nearly killed me," she lamented.

Despite not divulging the identity of her abuser, Barker admitted seeking help, opting not to pursue a formal complaint. "I spent nights on the phone to the Samaritans, and the Police would call me and come by my place to see if I was okay.

I didn't want to press charges. Refuge helped me understand what the cycle of abuse was and what it looks like. He knows. I know. Now you know too," she bravely disclosed.
