Taylor Polidore is an American actress and filmmaker best known for her dynamic roles in television dramas such as Snowfall, All American: Homecoming, and more recently, for starring in Tyler Perry’s Netflix series Beauty in Black.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Taylor Polidore attended Seven Lakes High School in nearby Katy. Her passion for storytelling led her to Clark Atlanta University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Filmmaking, a foundation that not only sharpened her acting craft but also expanded her skills behind the camera.

Polidore made her film debut in 2008 with a minor role in the comedy Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, starring Martin Lawrence. Over the next several years, she built her resume with appearances in popular true crime series like Snapped: Killer Couples and Fatal Attraction, as well as guest roles in scripted dramas such as The Resident, Step Up: High Water, and Genius: Aretha.

From 2018 to 2019, she portrayed Anaya, a recurring character in the CW superhero drama Black Lightning, earning praise for her grounded performance in a complex narrative. Her breakout role came when she was cast as Dallas Ali, a relentless bounty hunter in the FX crime drama Snowfall (2021–2023), showcasing her ability to bring layered characters to life.

In 2022, Polidore joined the CW’s All American: Homecoming in a recurring role, further establishing herself in youth-centered, socially conscious drama. That same year, she landed a co-lead role in the supernatural thriller series Wicked City on the Allblk network.

Her career took another leap in 2023, when she was cast in Tyler Perry’s feature film Divorce in the Black, a drama-thriller that explored the unraveling of a seemingly perfect relationship.

In 2024, Taylor Polidore earned her most prominent role yet the lead in Tyler Perry’s Netflix drama series Beauty in Black. In the series, she plays Kina, a resilient and determined young woman navigating betrayal, ambition, and family secrets as she climbs her way to the top in the world of fashion and self made success.

Her portrayal of Kina, a character driven by both beauty and grit has earned her acclaim for balancing vulnerability with strength. The series, also starring Crystle Stewart, explores the dualities of image and identity, beauty and pain, in a fresh and timely way.

Beyond the screen, Taylor Polidore enjoys a life rooted in love and purpose. On May 4, 2024, she married Jero Williams, a surgery resident based in Atlanta.

The couple got engaged on Christmas Day in 2022 after several years of dating, marking a new chapter in Polidore’s life both personally and professionally.
