Model Bella Hadid Shares Emotional Photo of Her ‘Childhood Bedroom’ Ablaze in Los Angeles wildfires
10th Jan 2025 | category: Celebrity News | Hits: 86The luxurious Malibu home where Bella Hadid spent much of her childhood has been reduced to rubble by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
On Thursday, January 9, the 28-year-old supermodel took to her Instagram Stories to share heartbreaking photos of the mansion once owned by her mother, Yolanda Hadid, engulfed in flames.
“Childhood bedroom,” Bella captioned an image showing flames and smoke pouring out of the windows, a haunting scene that struck a personal chord for the model.
The surrounding property, including palm trees and lush greenery featured prominently during its appearance on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH), was also destroyed, leaving a trail of ash and debris. Bella later posted an aerial view of the devastation, revealing collapsed walls and a nearly unrecognizable structure.
The Malibu mansion, also known as the Carbon Canyon Estate, was a significant part of Bella and her sister Gigi Hadid’s upbringing. Their mother, Yolanda, purchased the home with her then-husband David Foster in 2007 for $4.5 million. The couple spent two years transforming it into a stunning European-villa-style retreat.
The property became famous for hosting Yolanda’s extravagant parties during the early seasons of RHOBH. Celebrity icons like Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Kim Richards, and Brandi Glanville graced the mansion’s halls, adding to its legacy.
In 2015, Yolanda sold the estate for $19.5 million, the same year she and David Foster announced their divorce. Though the home changed hands, it retained its reputation as a celebrity haven, with its idyllic design and storied past.
As the wildfires continue to rage across Los Angeles, Bella urged her followers to support the firefighters and first responders on the front lines. “Please consider supporting organizations like the LAFD Foundation and Los Angeles Fire Department,” she wrote, emphasizing the dire need for assistance.
The destruction of the Carbon Canyon Estate marks not only the loss of an iconic property but also the memories and milestones of the Hadid family’s formative years.
